We welcome pitches that follow a specific cultural crossing with curiosity and care: a word, story, object or practice whose meaning shifts as it moves between settings.

What makes a good pitch

Propose one clear subject, explain why its journey is worth following and describe the questions your piece would answer. Strong ideas offer precise context, make room for variation and avoid treating a culture as a single voice. A short outline and a note on relevant sources are helpful.

The writing

We look for readable, original work that distinguishes evidence from interpretation and handles translation and cultural attribution thoughtfully. Please say whether the piece has been published or offered elsewhere. We cannot promise publication, and an accepted pitch may need editing for clarity and scope.
